Recreation Supervisor
RECREATION SUPERVISOR ($4,314 - $5,264/MO.)
DESCRIPTION: Located in the heart of the Feather River Country (outdoor mecca: clean
air, low crime, affordable). The Central Plumas Recreation and Park District is seeking an
intelligent and highly motivated recreation professional to plan, coordinate and implement
(hands-on approach) a variety of community recreation, aquatics and sports programs. Will
perform training and supervision of part-time and seasonal staff. Requires excellent oral
communication and interpersonal skills, creativity, strong planning and organizational abili-
ties and good computer word processing and graphics skills. The typical recreation super-
visor candidate will possess a BA degree in recreation administration or similar, plus the
equivalent of three years or more of increasingly responsible experience. This position also requires a
strong aquatics background (lifeguard certificate or WSI preferred) and a strong sports background, including organizing,
scheduling and officiating traditional team sports activities, clinics and leagues, and the ability to work effectively with youth.
Depending upon qualifications of applicants, one candidate will be offered the position of Recreation Supervisor.
