Collaborative Partnerships

The motto of the Central Plumas Recreation and Park District is: "Together- We Build Community". By collaborating with valued partners - from both public and private sectors - the Recreation and Park Distrcit has been able to combine and leverage limited resources resulting in increased benefits to our local citizenry.

The Recreation and Park District has been very fortunate to have the following groups or agencies as its collaborative partners:

Feather River College:

Ball Fields for Community Softball Program
Ball Fields for Youth Soccer Program

Plumas Unified School District:

Access to Quincy Elementary and High School for music/sports programs

County of Plumas:

Land for site of Quincy Skate Park
Access to Fairgrounds for youth sports and community enrichment classes
Access to Softball Field at Gansner Park for Adult Softball League

US Forest Service:

Special Use Permit to enable Lowell Bader Park in Meadow Valley

Quincy Rotary Club:

Park Improvements including; Bocce Ball courts, playgrounds, picnic and BBQ areas, tables and benches

National Park Service:

Donation of surplus government property - a one acre parking lot - for future park development

Plumas County Community Development Commission:

Program scholarship funds for disadvantaged youth
Nutrition education funds for at-risk youth
