Programs and Activities

Adult Softball

Season begins May 6th and continues through early August. League features men's, women's and two coed divisions for players over 18 years of age. Games are played one to two times a week at either Gansner Park or Feather River College softball fields. Pre-registration is required at the District Office or by signing your team roster.  For info call 283-3278.

Johnsville Jr. Ski Team

Offers ski racing for 2nd through 8th grade boys and girls from January through March. Registration fee is $75.00, plus lift ticket costs for 6-8 races. Sign-up today! For more information call the District Office at 283-3278.

Summer Soccer Camp

Open to boys and girls ages 5 through 17 years. Camp features instruction from collegiate level coaches and players. Registration occurs late May and into July. 2019 camp dates are July 22-25. Pre-registration is required and the fee is $40 for ages 5 to 7, and $60 for ages 8 to 17.

Fall Youth Soccer

Fall soccer is offered to boys and girls from Pre-K through U14. Sign-ups begin in July. Practices for the 2019 season begin August 28th. Games begin on September 7th and continue through the last week in October. Registration fee is $10.00 for Pre-K, $30.00 for U6-U12, and $40.00 for U14.

Tennis

Tennis classes are offered for the skill levels of beginner through the advanced. Instruction for Summer 2019 is available from June 20th to August 8th, every Thursday at either 8, 9, or 10 AM slots. Instruction is given by tennis pro Vincent Villany at the QHS tennis courts. Pre-registration is required at the District Office. Registration fee is $45. 

Adult Basketball

Season begins in mid-December and continues through the end of February. Open to men and women ages 20 and up. Games are played on Saturday mornings in the Quincy High School gym facility. Pre-registration with a team fee of $300 is required at the District Office.

Youth Basketball

Grades 3-8

Offered to boys and girls 3rd through 8th grade. Practice begins the first week of December and is generally two days per week. Games begin the first week in January and continue through the end of February. The registration fee for 3rd/4th is $45 per child and 5th-8th grade is $60 per child. All games and practices for 3rd/4th are played at the Quincy High School gym. Pre-registration is required at the District Office, with a deadline of November 2nd to get signed up.

Youth Basketball

Grades K,1&2

Youth basketball is also offered for Kindergarten,1st and 2nd grades. This clinic format program will held every Tuesday, beginning Tuesday, January 8th and continuing through Tuesday, February 26th. Registration fee is $25.00. The program will be at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in the Serpilio Hall from 5:15 - 6:00pm each Tuesday. Pre-registration is required at the District Office.

Elementary Strings

This program is available to school aged youths regardless of skill level. Ms. Johny McDonald is the program instructor and all classes are held at Quincy Elementary School. Registration is required through Ms. McDonald. Registration fee is $45.00/month plus musical instrument rental.

Plumas Swim Team

Open to boys and girls 1st through 8th grade. Sign ups occur in April/May with practices beginning in early June. Swim team members participate in approximately five swim meets including the Quincy Invitational Meet in July. Aquatics

Pioneer Pool is located at Pioneer Park in East Quincy. The pool is open Mondays through Fridays from 1:15 - 5:00 (public swim) and 5:00 - 7:00 (family swim) and Saturdays 1:15 - 5:00 June 17th through August 17th for a wide variety of swim activities. Both private and group swim lessons are offered from levels 1 through 7 plus Parent/Tot and Basic Rescue classes. Two nine-day group lesson sessions are offered at separate times during the summer. Family swim passes may be purchased for up to 6 members at $125.

Summer Sand Volleyball

Summer Sand Volleyball is an opportunity to play recreational sand volleyball welcoming all levels of play.  Teams of 2 and 4 can compete every Saturday on the  FRC collegiate sand courts from 10 AM to 12 PM. This program will pick back up again May 25th and run through July 13th. $40 per participant and must be 16 years or older. See you out there!

YOUTH WRESTLING

The youth wrestling program begins in early January and ends in April. Kids in Kindergartern-8th Grade may participate. Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday in the Round Room at Quincy Junior-Senior High School. 4th-8th Graders practice from 4:30 to 6 PM, while K-3rd Graders practice from 6 to 7 PM. Registration for the program is $25.
